What we do with your data

The short version: we collect what you send us through the contact form so we can reply, and we count page views only if you agree to it. We don't sell anything to anyone, and there's no advertising or profiling on this site.

Who we are

Nore Digital is a website design and maintenance practice based in Ireland, and is the data controller for the personal data described on this page. You can reach us at hello@noredigital.ie or +353 85 744 9907.

When you send us a message

The contact form asks for your name, email address and your message. We use them to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to carry on that conversation. Nothing else.

The form is handled by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service that receives your submission and emails it to us. Your message therefore passes through Web3Forms' systems on its way to our inbox.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, and where you're asking us to quote for work, taking steps at your request prior to a contract. We keep enquiry emails for up to 24 months so we have a record of who we've spoken to, then delete them — or sooner, if you ask.

You can always skip the form and email or ring us directly using the details above.

Analytics, and the cookie question

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where they came from. It tells us whether the site is doing its job. It does not tell us who you are.

Google Analytics sets cookies, so we do not load it at all until you press Accept in the cookie banner. Not a reduced version, not a cookieless version — the script simply isn't added to the page. If you press Reject, or ignore the banner entirely, no analytics runs and no analytics cookies are set. Our lawful basis for analytics is your consent.

If you accept and later change your mind, you can withdraw consent at any time — it takes one click, and we delete the analytics cookies already set:

Cookies and storage, in full

This is everything this site can put on your device:

There are no advertising cookies, no social media trackers, no session recording and no fingerprinting on this site.

Hosting and server data

The site is static and hosted on Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront) in the EU (Ireland) region. As with any web host, AWS processes the technical details of each request — such as your IP address, browser and the file requested — in order to actually deliver the page to you. That processing is necessary to operate the site.

Who else sees your data

We use a small number of service providers, and no one else:

  • Web3Forms — receives and forwards contact form submissions.
  • Google (Google Analytics) — analytics, only with your consent.
  • Amazon Web Services — hosting and content delivery.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area, or may process data outside it. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place for international transfers — such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data deleted
  • restrict or object to how we use it
  • receive it in a portable format
  • withdraw consent for analytics at any time, using the button above

Email hello@noredigital.ie and we'll deal with it within one month. Exercising any of these rights is free.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission, which is the supervisory authority for Ireland.

Changes to this page

If we start using a new service that handles your data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change requires your consent, we'll ask for it rather than assume it.
